Questa è l'applicazione ufficiale dell'Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) che mostra i dati relativi ai terremoti più recenti che avvengono sul territorio italiano e, limitatamente agli eventi più forti, nel resto del mondo.

I parametri (tempo origine, coordinate epicentrali, profondità e magnitudo) delle localizzazioni dei terremoti sono disponibili grazie al Servizio di Sorveglianza Sismica dell'INGV, attivo 24h/24, 7 giorni su 7.

I parametri sono suscettibili di modifiche non appena sono disponibili nuovi dati.

NUOVA VERSIONE, VELOCE ed AFFIDABILE

*** Tra Agosto 2016 e Marzo 2017 sono stati registrati più di 65000 eventi sismici con magnitudo superiore a 1. Questa abnorme quantità di eventi ha reso complesso gestire il database della sismicità italiana all'interno dell'app. 

Noi stessi, ed anche molti di voi, hanno riscontrato rallentamenti e difficoltà soprattutto poco dopo i terremoti più forti quando invece l'app dovrebbe essere più veloce ed efficiente. 

Abbiamo quindi riscritto l'app eliminando la gestione del database, rendendola così notevolmente più veloce nell'aggiornamento, più leggera da scaricare ma con tutte le funzioni di ricerca e le informazioni scientifiche che la rendono unica.

Tuttavia il database all'interno dell'app permetteva di poter usarla anche disconessi dalla rete, sfortunatamente ora l'app richiede la connessione alla rete attivata.***

NUOVA DEFINIZIONE DELLA ZONA EPICENTRALE

*** Nella precedente versione l'app indicava come "zona del Terremoto" la provincia in cui ricade l'epicentro. Anche in questo caso, a seguito della sequenza sismica del 2016/2017, abbiamo cercato di fornire un'informazione più precisa. La provincia è stata sostituita dalla distanza dal comune (municipio) più vicino alle coordinate dell'epicentro. Nelle prossime release dell'app verranno effettuate alcune modifiche per rendere quest'informazione meglio visualizzabile, soprattutto per le versioni con schermo più piccolo.***

CARATTERISTICHE

L'App permette di visualizzare gli ultimi terremoti avvenuti nei 3 giorni precedenti.

 

L’App permette di visualizzare anche la sismicità italiana dal 2005 in poi, tramite la sezione Ricerca Terremoti. È possibile cercare i terremoti:

- degli ultimi 20 giorni o in un intervallo di tempo selezionato. 

- in tutto il mondo, in tutta Italia, più vicini alla posizione attuale, attorno ad un Comune, e infine inserendo dei valori di coordinate specifiche.

- con valori di magnitudo all'interno di un intervallo selezionato.

Particolare attenzione è stata rivolta alle informazioni scientifiche riguardanti i terremoti; sono infatti presenti sezioni collegate al blog INGVterremoti ingvterremoti.wordpress.com.

I tempi della comunicazione

I dati sui terremoti presenti in questa App e su tutti i siti e canali INGV sono ottenuti dai sismologi dell'INGV presenti, 24 ore su 24, nelle Sale Operative di monitoraggio sismico di Roma, Catania, e Napoli entro 30 minuti dal verificarsi di un terremoto. 

Infatti, è necessario un tempo tecnico per permettere di rivedere il dato automatico ed ottenere la migliore localizzazione possibile. 

Solitamente questi tempi variano da 5 a 30 minuti (in media dopo circa 10-15 minuti). Ciò motiva il differimento tra l'accadimento dell'evento sismico e la sua pubblicazione sui siti dell’NGV, sui social INGVterremoti e in questa App.

Al momento INGV non comunica il dato automatico.

L’orario UTC

Nella sezione Ultimi terremoti gli orari degli eventi sismici sono espressi utilizzando l'orario di riferimento internazionale UTC (Tempo Coordinato Universale). Per ottenere l'orario italiano è necessario aggiungere 2 ore se è in vigore l'ora legale oppure 1 ora se è in vigore l'ora solare.

This is the official app of the Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) showing the data for the most recent earthquakes that occur on Italian territory and, for the strongest events in the rest of the world.

The parameters (origin time, epicenter coordinates, depth and magnitude) of the earthquake locations are available thanks to the Supervisory INGV Seismic Service, 24h / 24 active, 7 days out of 7.

NEW VERSION, FAST and RELIABLE

NEW DEFINITION OF epicentral area

*** In the previous version of the app meant as "earthquake zone" the province where the epicenter lies. Again, as a result of the seismic sequence of 2016/2017, we have tried to provide more precise information. The province has been replaced by the distance from the municipality (city hall) closer to the epicenter coordinates. In the next app release we will be made some changes to make better viewable this information, especially for the versions with smaller screen. ***

The App allows you to view the recent earthquakes occurred in the last 3 days.

 

The App also displays the Italian seismicity from 2005 onwards, in section Earthquakes Research. You can search for earthquakes:

- the last 20 days or in a selected time interval.

- all over the world, throughout Italy, nearest to your current location, around a municipality, and finally inserting specific coordinate values.

- with a magnitude values ​​within a selected range.

Particular attention was paid to scientific information on earthquakes; are present sections connected to the blog INGVterremoti ingvterremoti.wordpress.com.

The timing of disclosure

The data on earthquakes in this App and all sites and channels are obtained by INGV INGV seismologists present, 24 hours a 24, in the Control Rooms of seismic monitoring of Rome, Catania, Naples and within 30 minutes of an occurrence earthquake.

In fact, it is necessary to allow a technician's time to revise the automatic data and to obtain the best possible localization.

The UTC

In the last earthquakes times of seismic events are expressed using the international reference time UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). To get the Italian time you need to add two hours if daylight saving time is in effect, or 1 hour if standard time is in effect.
